With a father who was a full time entertainer with a dance studio at the Fountain Bleu Hilton. Anthony's father was a dancer, singer, and showman who also played the congas. So it was only natural that this heritage would pass on to Anthony. It is at age 10 that Anthony received his first set of congas by his mother. He immediately fell in love with the instrument, and later in life embraced the history and meaning of the congas. His first professional experience was playing (1979) at Pete & Lenny's (in Fort Lauderdale) with a band called Ruby. From there, Anthony got into the Latin circuit with the help of an old friend from High School, Tony Gundin. Tony Gundin is a professional drummer and percussionist who has played for numerous internationally known stars such as John Seccada. With Tony's help, Anthony was introduced to, and played with, local well known musicians gave him the experience and opened the opportunity to play with such artists as Olga Guillo at the Dade County Auditorium with a 50 piece orchestra. Since then, Anthony continues to play and perform for private, social, and corporate events. Because of his exposure to large scale musical and corporate events, Anthony, over the years, developed a natural ability to plan and organize successful events. In addition, with years of experience in professional business networking with companies ranging from small businesses to fortune 500 companies, Anthony has developed invaluable relationships which give him access to an array of various key entertainment providers. |
